The main ingredient in Gaviscon liquid and tablet products is not an antacid. It is an ingredient called Sodium Alginate. Together with the other active ingredients, Sodium Alginate creates a barrier that forms over the contents of your stomach to help relieve the symptoms of heartburn and indigestion. Gaviscon Dual Action contains a higher concentration of calcium carbonate, to help neutralise excess stomach acid and form a barrier.
Guardium Acid Reflux Relief Tablets contain the active ingredient Esomeprazole. Guardium Acid Reflux Relief Tablets contain a type of medicine called a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by decreasing the amount of acid made by the stomach to give relief of symptoms and allow healing to take place. This does not stop food being digested in the normal way.
Guardium Acid Reflux Relief Tablets are used for the symptomatic relief of frequent heartburn, acid regurgitation and other symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux. This can be caused by “washing back” (reflux) of food and acid from the stomach into the food pipe (oesophagus). Reflux can cause a burning sensation in the chest rising up into the throat, also known as heartburn.

How much to take / use
Take one Guardium Acid Reflux Relief Tablet each day
Swallow Guardium Acid Reflux Relief Tablets whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablets: If the tablets are chewed or crushed, they will not work properly.
